Lexy's career blends her background in political science and journalism with a lifelong passion for design. Influenced by her family's crafts and her own experience renovating homes, she pursued an MFA in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017. Her thesis research focused on creating healthy, human-centered environments based on Active Design principles. After teaching interior design at VCU and earning her WELL AP credential, Lexy founded her own firm in 2025, Alexis Holcombe Design. Her studio transforms residential spaces into sanctuaries that promote well-being, inclusivity, and sustainability.
